HON. LENORA FOOTE, Diversity Chair, is a Buffalo native and a 1986 graduate of Williamsville East High School. She obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree in 1997 from SUNY at Buffalo School of Law. Ms. Foote graduated from Canisius College in 1992 as a Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholar and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Pre‑Law Studies. In 2000, Mayor Masiello appointed Lenora to Assistant Corporation Counsel, and her assignments included four years as the Housing Court Prosecutor and two years as legal counsel to the Buffalo Common Council. In 2006, Mayor Byron Brown appointed Ms. Foote to General Counsel for the City of Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency. In 2006, Ms. Foote was appointed by the Hon. Sharon Townsend to the position of Support Magistrate for the Erie County Family Court. Lenora is a past president of the Minority Bar Association of WNY, Inc., and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Minority Bar Association of WNY Foundation, Inc. Lenora is the proud mother of two energetic and handsome sons; Anthony, who is 19 and attends Alfred State College and 12 year old David Vaughn, her aspiring American Idol and NBA basketball player.
